Controlled Substances

Controlled substance analysis is the analysis of drug evidence.  We accept powders, liquids, pills and any other medium that may be suspected as being a drug.  We analyze the unknown using many different tests and report our results to the agency and courts.  We employ 8 chemists in 3 labs throughout the state of Utah (Ogden, Salt Lake CIty, Cedar City).  We DO NOT test blood alcohol or blood for the prescence of drugs.  The Utah Bureau of Forensic Toxicology (Dept of Health) tests these types of samples.
