Medical Advisory Board
The Division works closely with a group of physicians with varying medical specialties to develop the standards and guidelines used to assess safe driving. This group of physicians is called the Medical Advisory Board.
The Medical Advisory Board meets at a minimum once a quarter to discuss and maintain the guidelines. They make recommendations to the Division for medical guidelines and standards updates.
The board is also responsible for hearing driver appeals concerning medical conditions regarding their driving privileges. If you wish to have a hearing with the Medical Advisory Board, please submit a written request to:
