Northbound I-15 in Davis County to close overnight this Saturday

Crews will continue demolition of Shepard Lane bridge
FARMINGTON, Utah (June 18, 2025) — The Utah Department of Transportation urges drivers to plan for delays this weekend, as northbound Interstate 15 in Davis County will close Saturday night as crews continue demolishing the Shepard Lane bridge.

Starting June 21 at 9:30 p.m., northbound I-15 between 200 North and Park Lane will close through 11 a.m. on June 22. A week later, on Saturday, June 28, the same area is scheduled to be closed to wrap up demolition work.
These closures will create a safe work zone for crews to finish demolishing the second half of the Shepard Lane bridge, which was permanently closed in May. Drivers will be detoured to U.S. Route 89 and Main Street in Kaysville during the closures.
UDOT is building a new interchange at Shepard Lane in Farmington to reduce congestion and enhance safety in the area. Not only will the interchange cross over Union Pacific Railroad and Utah Transit Authority tracks to create another connection to local roads, this project will also improve pedestrian and bike connectivity along Park Lane, and the ramps associated with I-15, U.S. Route 89 and Legacy Parkway (State Route 67). The new interchange is anticipated to open in late 2026.
Construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change. For the latest information on traffic restrictions during construction, visit the UDOT Traffic website or download the UDOT Traffic app for iPhone or Android. Drivers can also follow UDOT on social media including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
