Logan Canyon to close overnight on July 21
July 17, 2025
Additional closures in Farmington and Taylorsville may cause delays
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (July 17, 2025) — The Utah Department of Transportation is urging drivers to plan ahead for a full overnight closure of Logan Canyon on July 21 from 10 p.m. to July 22 at 7 a.m.
During this closure, crews will be digging trenches to lay pipes. This project will also replace pavement, rumble strips and lane striping in Logan Canyon.
Travelers should also plan for the following traffic delays this weekend:
- Farmington: The ramp from Park Lane to southbound Legacy Parkway will be closed on July 18 at 11 p.m. to July 19 at 6 a.m. for concrete work. Traffic will be detoured to southbound Interstate 15.
- Taylorsville: Crews will close two lanes on eastbound 5400 South (State Route 173) at 3200 West on July 18 at 9 a.m. to July 21 at 5 a.m. Motorists should plan for heavy eastbound delays on the Flex Lanes in this area as crews replace a drainage pipe.
- Salt Lake City: The off-ramp from southbound Interstate 15 to 9000 South (Exit 295) will be closed on July 19 at 11 p.m. to July 21 at 5 a.m. for paving.
