NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING
On Proposed Roadway Improvements
at US-6 and US-89 in Utah County, UT
UDOT Project No. F-0006(257)
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has initiated a project to improve safety at the U.S. Route 6 and U.S. Route 89 intersection near Thistle in Utah County, Utah. Proposed improvements would convert the existing T-intersection at US-6 and US-89 to a grade-separated diamond-style interchange. Roadway improvements would occur along US-6 approximately between milepost (MP) 186.4 and 187.9 and along US-89 from the intersection (MP 312.8) to approximately MP 312.4. The proposed improvements would modify access on US-6 within the study area.
UDOT is offering the opportunity for a public hearing regarding the intersection improvements to allow any person to request, in writing or via email, that a public meeting would be held to discuss the planned improvements.
All interested individuals may request a public hearing be held by submitting a written request by mail (US-6 & US-89 Thistle Junction Safety Project Public Outreach Team, 136 East Riverside Drive Suite 100, St. George, UT 84790) or via email at US6ThistleSafety@utah.gov. Requests must be postmarked or emails received on or before July 21, 2025. In the event a public hearing is requested, a hearing will be scheduled in Spanish Fork City, Utah County, and notices will be published indicating the hearing date and location.
