The Express Pass

About the Express Pass:
The Express Pass is a windshield-mounted device that allows solo drivers to pay a toll to access the I-15 Express Lanes without needing to meet HOV 2+ passenger requirements.
Costs and Fees
Each Express Pass costs $6.99, and requires an additional $25 in prepaid tolls to be added per Express Pass when you open your account with a credit card for a total of $31.99 + shipping & taxes.
When your account balance falls below $10, the same credit card will be charged $25 to replenish the account with additional funds.
Multiple Express Passes can be linked to the same account. Each account will be charged up to $2.50 monthly to cover administrative costs, regardless of the number of Express Passes on the account. These administrative costs are reduced by tolls accrued (for example, paying $1.50 in tolls during a month would result in a $1.00 administrative charge).
The Express Lanes are divided into payment zones. Readers at several locations along the Express Lanes detect your Express Pass as you travel through each zone and charge your account after you exit the Express Lanes. You will only pay the price shown just before you enter each zone. Pricing ranges from $0.25 cents to $2 per zone depending on congestion. Costs are highest during peak traffic times, such as morning and evening commutes.
To use the lanes as an HOV rider when you have an additional passenger, slide the Express Pass into the “HOV” position.
