UDOT to repave Legacy Parkway this summer

Highway to be restricted to one lane in each direction during nightly construction

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will start repaving Legacy Parkway, Monday, June 10.

The highway will be reduced to one lane in each direction every night through the summer from 500 South in Bountiful to the I-15 ramps in Farmington to accommodate this work. In addition to repaving, crews will restripe the highway and install new signs. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of September.

“We’re always working to provide Utahns a safe and comfortable ride, and this project helps us to accomplish that,” UDOT Region One Director Rob Wight said. “We want to take care of what we have and ensure that these roads are in great shape and last for years to come.”

In addition to lane closures, drivers can expect shoulder closures and intermittent ramp closures throughout the summer on Legacy Parkway. To reduce delays and detours, only one ramp will be closed at any time. Drivers can expect 15 minute delays and may not drive vehicles or loads over 13 feet high through the area during work hours. All lane closures and restrictions will start as early as 6 p.m. and will reopen each morning in time for the commute.

Construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.
