Scheduling the State Aircraft

The Division of Aeronautics operates two passenger aircraft, an 8-passenger King Air 200 and a 6-passenger Beechcraft C90, that can transport any state employees as they travel for state business.

There are many benefits to using the State aircraft!

• Utah employees save time and money by using the state aircraft
• Able to travel to destination and back in the same day
• No hotel, no per diem, no overtime hours for travel time
• Allows for multiple team-members to attend meetings
• Enables more frequent visits to rural areas

Booking a flight with the Division of Aeronautics can be a cost-effective means of attending an event, conducting a site visit, or coordinating a meeting between remote partners.

There is no need to book through state travel and our pilots can be contacted directly to meet your specific travel itineraries.

Recently my team utilized the Fly Utah program to attend meetings in Moab and Blanding in southeastern Utah. I flew to Cedar with Greg and John for the first time on Wednesday.  I was able to park my car for free and get right on the plane to leave, no going through TSA.  The plane is nice and comfortable.  Greg and John are great pilots and very friendly.  They were able to take me safely through a storm on the way from Cedar.  It was so nice to leave and be home the same day.  I didn’t have to drive for several hours to get to my destination and then be away from home for several days.  The price for my flight was much less than the cost of gas and hotel stays.  I highly recommend using this program!
